Investiture Ceremony
The oath taking of the newly elected Council of the Pakistan Nuclear Society (PNS) for the term 2023-24 was held on 9th January 2023 at IFQ Hotel and Resort, Club Road, Islamabad. A large number of PNS members and their families witnessed the
ceremony. Dr. Raja Ali Raza Anwar, HI, SI, Chairman Pakistan
Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) took oath from the Council
Members. The new team is a blend of young and experienced
office bearers who are determined to take up the Society to a level of an international forum for the promotion of peaceful uses of nuclear technology. Those who took oath were Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khaleeq, President, Mr. Waqar Ahmad Butt,
Vice President, Dr. Mohammad Mohsin, General Secretary, Mr. Ghulam Sarwar, Finance Secretary and five Executive Members; Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Saggu, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Qamar, Ms. Huma Qamar, Ms. Nazia Kashif and Syed Zahid Hussain.
other S&T organizations/universities and to focus on students was well appreciated. He especially mentioned about the quality and contents of PNS quarterly Newsletter. He ensured to provide all possible support for the activities of PNS.After the formal oath taking, Dr. M. Mohsin presented the Progress Report of the Society and Dr. M. Tahir Khaleeq elaborated about the future initiatives and programmes. The Chief Guest, Dr. Raja Ali Raza Anwar in his speech lauded the enhanced activities of PNS for the peaceful uses of nuclear technology. The outreach to other S&T organizations/universities and to focus on students was well appreciated. He especially mentioned about the quality and contents of PNS quarterly Newsletter.
