Dr. Ahmad Ahsan Nawaz

Highest Qualification: Post-Doc in 2015 from TU Dresden, Germany on Marie Curie Fellowship

Qualification and Experience: Dr. Nawaz was working as facility head at Max-Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Erlnagen, Germany. He did his post-doc at TU Dresden, Germany as a Marie-Curie fellow in 2015. His most notable work “Intelligent image-based deformation-assisted cell sorting with molecular specificity” was published in Nature Methods. 
Earlier he was awarded Fulbright scholarship in 2009 to pursue Ph.D. at Pennsylvania State University in the United States. During his Ph.D. His thesis was focused on the development of a miniature on-chip microfluidic flow cytometer and acoustofluidic fluorescence activated cell sorter. To date he has published more than 28 research articles in international journals, 9 conference proceedings and 2 U.S. patents. His research has highlighted in U.S. News, local US newspapers and Penn. State News. His research articles are cited more than 1950 times in reputed international research articles.
Before that, he was awarded European Union’s Erasmus Mundus scholarship to continue double degree masters program (2007-09) with first year at Institute National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG), France and second year at Augsburg University, Germany. During his masters he worked on development and electrical characterization of Gallium Nitride (GaN) based biosensors under Prof. Achim Wixforth.
Nawaz earned his bachelors in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) of Engineering Science and Technology with gold medal conferred by the president of Pakistan for highest academic achievement in 2006.

– B.Sc Engineering from UET Lahore. M.Sc Nuclear Engineering from CNS (Now PIEAS). PhD from Linkoping University, Sweden.

– Worked in various assignments of national importance. Involved in various instrumentation and control related assignments. 

– Worked in Vibration Analysis and Vibration based machine diagnostics.

Ms. Ruqiyah Shahid Altaf

Highest Qualification: Advance Postgraduate Diploma in Career Counselling and Advisory from NUST
